Update:

We purchased the network interface, installed it in the garage and created a myQ account. After a 30 day free trial, a subscription is required. When active, the service was somewhat hit or miss. Probably due to our internet reliability issues. The subscription fee seems excessive for the automated opening /closing when we have a fob to open/close door which works without fail. YMMV

Good Luck

Automating Garage Door Opening

by rsb713 » Mon Oct 06, 2025 10:43 am
Hi,

I have a 2026 Model Y Juniper and am very pleased. I am having difficulties get it to connect to my 3 year old Genie model 7155L garage door opener. The opener makes no mention of myQ compatibility, but the myQ app suggests compatibility. I have an Aladdin Connect app that allows me to control the garage door remotely. Thus far I have not been able to get the myQ app to connect to the Genie opener or the Aladdin Connect app. The my Q app suggests use of a separate hub to make the connection.

Does anyone have experience in this area.

Thanks in advance,
RSB713
