Is True FSD Really Just Around the Corner? A recent video showcasing FSD 13.2.8 in a new Model Y has sparked some serious debate. The improvements, especially in Hurry Mode, are undeniable, but is it enough to call it Full Self-Driving? The video highlights impressive lane changes and complex turns, but the absence of features like Banish, the hands-free parking feature, leaves some wanting more. This begs the question: what is the defining feature of True FSD? Is it the ability to navigate parking lots flawlessly? Or is it something more fundamental, like the ability to handle unexpected situations on the road? Some argue that until a Tesla can drop you off and reliably return without driver intervention, True FSD is still a distant dream. Could another automaker, perhaps one from China, beat Tesla to the punch? What advancements are you waiting for before you consider a vehicle truly self-driving? Let the discussion begin!
