Regular Model Y Now Available in North America, Launch Series Discontinued

Tesla just pulled the Launch Series Model Y and rolled out the regular Long Range trim. Is this a smart move or a cash grab? The price difference between the Launch Series and a similarly optioned Long Range is substantial. Are we seeing the true cost of those previously bundled features, or is Tesla maximizing profits?

With only the Long Range available now, where does this leave potential buyers looking for the RWD or Performance trims? Will these be quietly introduced later at a higher price point? Is this a strategic rollout, or is Tesla struggling with production or supply chain issues?

The inclusion of the Mobile Connector is a welcome change, but is it enough to justify the price increase? Is Tesla simply reverting a previous cost-cutting measure, or are they responding to customer feedback? What other previously standard features should Tesla bring back?

Lets discuss the long-term implications of this shift in the Model Y lineup. What does it mean for the future of Tesla’s pricing strategy? Will we see a similar pattern with other models? Your thoughts and predictions are welcome.
