Had the A6 for about a year now and lately I've noticed the brake pedal travel has gotten a bit longer than I remember and it just doesn't bite with that same initial confidence it used to have especially when I'm coming off the highway onto Al Khail, no warning lights yet and no screeching but I've got that nagging feeling in the back of my head that it's probably time for a pad swap before it turns into a bigger issue that costs double. I called my usual guy and he's solid but he's more of a Toyota and Nissan specialist and when I mentioned it's the C7 with the electronic parking brake he sort of paused and said he'd need to check his scan tool which didn't exactly fill me with confidence because I know these Audis can be finicky about the rear caliper retraction if you don't do it by the book. I'm probably just going to bite the bullet and find a proper Audi brake pad repair and replacement service in Al Quoz or DIP that deals with these cars every day instead of letting someone use my car as a learning experience, and I'm also kind of curious if the vagueness could just be old fluid or if it's definitely the pads wearing down because the car's only done about fifty five thousand kilometers and that feels a bit early for a full set but what do I know.
